The Holden VL Commodore is becoming one of the most sought after in the Holden Commodore generations. Manufactured only between Feb 1986 and Aug 1988 only 151,801 would be produced across all specs. The Nissan RB30 power-plant replaced the Holden 6-cylinder due to a new rule being introduced that all 1986 onwards vehicles had to be able to run on 91 octane fuel. Due to the old tooling and cost of adapting the Holden 6, the partnership with Nissan was the most cost effective and convenient choice.

This VL Berlina is an ideal street or drag car with extensive modifications to produce and incredible 730hp at the rear wheels. The car is factory finished in Alpine White with a Maderia Red interior, an ideal pairing.

Modifications include:
- Built RB30 with forged pistons, Kelford 226 cam, cometic head gasket, Golbey's crank trigger kit
- Link G4 ECU
- Garrett GTX3582R Gen 2 turbocharger
- 2200cc injectors
- Plazmaman forward facing plenum
- Aeroflow intercooler
- Catchcan and overflow tanks
- 525 Walbro in-tank pump with external Raceworks surge tank and 044 pump with braided lines
- Turbosmart fuel regulator
- Boost controller
- Alloy radiator
- Gilroy's built 2-speed Powerglide transmission with a Converter Shop custom 4800rpm stall, transbrake, and trans-cooler
- VL Turbo differential with 31-spline axles and 3.7 ratio diff gears
- Adjustable coilover suspension with strut tower covers
- Brakes have been replaced with slotted rotors
- 17" Drag OS Wheels
- New carpet with matching floor mats
- Battery relocated to boot
