12/1977 Ford LTD P6 4d Sedan Sno White / Dusk Vinyl V8 351ci 5.8L - Local Survivor Car UNDER OFFER

Original single owner, Canberra car since new, and a true survivor example of the luxury V8 Aussie classic, offered on behalf of the family as part of an estate matter. Sitting for 36 years, now running and driving!

The LTD was Ford’s flagship model and was introduced in September 1976 to rival to some of the prestigious brands and vehicles arriving from Europe. Unashamedly, the LTD's large styling was clean and crisp, similar to its American cousins.  The wheelbase was 3074mm, the longest of any modern passenger car in Australia at the time and the LTD was fitted with proven and popular 5.8 litre (351ci) Cleveland V8. This 351ci V8 was backed by a T-bar three-speed automatic gearbox with a 9" differential with four-wheel disc brakes.

This survivor and original example is being offered as part of a local deceased estate matter on behalf of the family. The car was sold and delivered new to Ivan Jecic on the 26th January 1978 at Brian Pollock Motors in Phillip ACT, with Ivan being the sole owner since new. The car was driven regularly until 1990, when the car was vandalised with brake fluid as reflected on most of the panels and vinyl roof. The cost? Insurance excess was $200.00, which was deemed to expensive at the time by Ivan so the car was packed in his attached garage, where it has been dry stored since. Ivan continued to register the car until 1996, and was only believed to have moved it on the odd occasion, until the car was recently picked up by Beyond The Redline to assist the family in getting the car running again to be sold. 

Despite the decorated paintwork this LTD is a more than impressive, untouched example with the interior showing no signs of age, zero rust throughout the car - after being dry stored in a garage in Canberra for decades, and a well performing 351ci V8, gearbox and driveline. As expected there are some leaks now that the car has been running again, and likely new gaskets, hoses, fluids and alike will be required to get it back to 100%. The original owners/maintenance manual is included and also in good order, with the original Owner vehicle ID on the inside confirming all this information.

This marks a rare opportunity to secure a local Canberra, single owner, Aussie V8 luxury classic in true survivor form and a story to boot.
