The
Holden Utility is a car that will always be a memorable part of
Australian Motoring History, holding its place as the Trusty Australian
work-horse that never died.
This
1981 Holden WB One tonner is a testament to that fact, with an indicated 162,808ks since new this trusty old work-horse is a
running and driving example with a 253ci V8 converted into it, over the original inline-six. The 253ci V8 is the high-comp variant with an electric dizzy, Holley 600 double pumper carb, bigger valves and extractors, with the vendor stating this was rebuilt previously. The V8 is backed by a M21 Aussie 4-speed manual with a 10 bolt rear. The WB also features a Bluetooth Kenwood head unit, Saas guages for RPM, Oil pressure and Water Temp, Saas steering wheel and a custom tray with timber. This example would make a great or shop truck build, or a simple Aussie classic to tinker with on the weekends.
