The Honda S2000 arrived at the turn of the millennium as a pure expression of Honda’s engineering philosophy—launched in 1999 to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary and revive its classic lightweight roadster lineage dating back to the S500 and S800. It was one of the last truly analogue Japanese sports cars before the shift toward turbocharging and electronic intervention. Its screaming naturally aspirated engine, perfectly balanced chassis, and uncompromised design ethos have since made it a modern classic—often regarded as one of the purest driver’s cars of its era and a high point of Honda’s engineering identity. This original AP1 model was built around a front-mid engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and near-perfect 50:50 balance, but its defining feature was the legendary F20C 2.0L VTEC engine. Producing 184kW and revving to an extraordinary 9,000rpm, it delivered one of the highest specific outputs ever seen in a naturally aspirated production car at the time.

This well presented modern JDM classic example of a 2.0L S2000 roadster has travelled only 86,650ks from new, with original Japanese logbooks and manuals, and has current NSW registration until 23/06/2026.
