The E-Type Jaguar is a British sports car that was manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd From 1961 until 1974. Its combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the model as an icon of the motoring world. The E-Type's claimed a 241 km/h top speed in its factory form. The E-Type featured disc brakes, independent front and rear suspension and rack and pinion steering which was quiet advanced for it's time. It is rumored that on its debut in 1961 Enzo Ferrari called it "the most beautiful car ever made".This uniquely modified example saw the original 4.2L inline 6 cylinder engine replaced with a completely rebuilt Ford 289ci small block ford engine with custom headers and exhaust, MSD fuel injection, vintage air, and 17" alloy Epic wheels. The original subframe, torsion bar suspension and rear end all remained factory however the bonnet has been replaced with fiberglass copy and the door handles have been shaved. The engine swap appears to have been done professionally and the car starts, runs and drives well.
This vehicle is left hand drive and was imported from America in 2018. The car has not yet been complied to be registered in Australia. Inspections of the vehicle are recommended before placing a bid.
