The Holden FC is a car that will always be a memorable part of Australian Motoring History, holding its place as a popular family sedan with its beautiful styling. 191,724 FC's would be produced between May 1958 & January 1960 due to their incredible popularity prior to being replaced by the FB. Tidy and well preserved examples are getting harder and harder to find and this presents as a great opportunity for a particularly rare specification.

This Holden FC is not to be confused with a station wagon, as it is a rare "Window" Panel Van or "Vanette" which is in complete and running order. Rare two door wagons "Wagonette" have been seen, but still included a back seat unlike the "Vanette" which carried the floor all the way to the back of the front seats, the same as the panel van. All these vehicles start life as a panel van and body numbering was in line with regular production. Whether there was a back seat or not depended on what the customer wanted and ordered, with conversion mainly done in both Sydney and Melbourne. 

This rare FC "Vanette" is a complete and running example that is ready to be left in its patina state or for a simple restoration. The FC has traveled an indicated 87,776 Mi and still retains the early VIC numberplates. Despite some surface rust the car appears to be free from any major rust, the motor starts and runs well but the brakes do not work so the car has not been driven more than a few meters. The split tailgate still opens and holds, and a box of some assorted spare parts is included.
