The MGA was launched in 1955 and showcased a change in the traditional styling of previous M.G models. The MGA featured a body on frame design with a solid single-style body which did not come with exterior door handles. This design combined with a high compression 4-cylinder, wishbone front suspension and manual gearbox to rear wheel drive certainly reinforced the sports car pedigree. The MGA would see just over 100,000 produced, with most of these being exported outside of the UK.
This MGA is no showroom quality example, making it an ideal, practical and enjoyable choice for many. The MGA runs and drives well, and has no issues starting even after sitting for some time. By all appearances everything seems to work as it should, and the car includes the frame and roof with slip in windows just in case you are caught in the weather. With warmer weather just around the corner this MGA represents a fantastic opportunity to get into a classic sports car that can be enjoyed as is or make for a simple restoration on weekends.
