The 412 was and update from the earlier 400i and boasted several significant changes, including a higher boot-line creating more boot space, a deeper front air dam for improved aerodynamics, redesigned sill panels, body-coloured inserts, and a new wheel design, behind which standard Bosch ABS brakes were fitted for the first time in a Ferrari.
The V12 engine increased in displacement to 4,942 cc, allowing the 412 to produce 250 kw or 340 hp meaning 0-100 km/h could be done in 8.3 seconds with the three-speed automatic, and it could reach an impressive for the time 245 km/h flat out.
This example is finished in Argento Fer Silver over a dark blue leather interior with lighter blue carpets and accented by Nero (black) hide on the dashboard, centre console, and the Momo steering wheel. Equipped with a 3-speed automatic, other additional standard features include dual zone air conditioning, electrically adjustable seats, electric windows, soft close boot and more. Additional features include a Kenwood Headunit and Infinity speakers.
Originally delivered to Hong Kong in 1968, the Ferrari has been in Australia for some time and is accompanied by the original books with owner’s manuals and service booklet, and a folder of receipts for work carried out over the years in Australia totaling over $30k. This includes general servicing, electrical repairs, transmission and fuel system work and more.
