The top 5 ultra-premium cars up for auction right now
Tuesday, 14 July 2026 | James Coleman
Sometimes the cars rolling into our warehouses are just too special to fit a standard label.
Where do you put a handcrafted 2013 Bentley limousine that cost $800,000 new and came with factory custom umbrellas in the boot? "Premium" doesn't quite cut it.
Or a Maserati packed with a Ferrari-built V6?
What about two fierce BMW X3 M Competitions, a brace of rapid Audi S SUVs, and a modern Land Rover?
These heavy hitters just landed at our Canberra and Sydney warehouses, which is why we’ve launched The Curated Auction. This online event features the absolute crème de la crème of CARBIDS stock.
Bidding closes Wednesday night, 22 July. Until then, window-shop the highlights below (click the links for more information or photos on each car):
2013 Bentley Mulsanne
FAST FACTS: 82,992 km | Partial receipt service history | 70-80% tyre tread | 2 keys
Location: Blacktown, Sydney
Handbuilt over 400 hours at Bentley’s historic Crewe factory, this limousine carries serious presence. While the standard model was a cool $660,000, this example adds the Mulliner and Premiere packages, pushing it closer to $800,000 in its day. It features two-piece alloy wheels, knurled organ-stop handles, diamond-quilted leather, and a twin-turbo 6.75-litre V8. Yes, the custom umbrellas are still in the boot.
2022 Maserati Ghibli Modena S
FAST FACTS: 21,846 km | Partial logbook service history | 80% tyre tread | 2 keys
Location: Taren Point, Sydney
Want Ferrari DNA but need five seats and a real boot? Skip the electric Luce and look under this bonnet. It packs a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 hand-built by Ferrari engineers in Maranello. Dressed in sinister Blu Emozione paint with the blacked-out Nerissimo styling package, it features a two-tone beige and black leather interior, a power sunroof, and Maserati's timeless analogue dash clock.
BMW X3 M Competition (x2)
FAST FACTS (2019): 105,373 km | Good partial history | 20-50% tyre tread | 2 keys
FAST FACTS (2022): 49,109 km | Full service history | 70-80% tyre tread | 2 keys
Locations: Taren Point, Sydney (2019) | Fyshwick, Canberra (2022)
We have not one, but two of BMW’s most athletic SUVs. Smaller and lighter than an X5 but just as potent, these 375 kW weapons feature the Competition spec: sports seats, revised suspension, a sharper diff, and a sports exhaust. Choose between the stealthy Donington Grey 2019 model or the louder Marina Bay Blue 2022 model, which features intake and exhaust mods so they'll hear you coming blocks away.
Audi SQ5 & SQ7
FAST FACTS (2017 SQ7): 56,774 km | Online history | 80% tyre tread | 2 keys
FAST FACTS (2018 SQ5): 55,400 km | Online history | 50% tyre tread | 2 keys
Location: Taren Point, Sydney
Audi’s take on the performance SUV. The 2017 SQ7 uses a triple-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 diesel pushing a massive 900 Nm of torque, hitting 0–100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The 2018 SQ5 opts for a petrol 3.0-litre turbo V6, clocking the sprint in 5.4 seconds. Both come locked and loaded with Audi's signature luxury and bulletproof interior tech.
2021 Land Rover Defender 110 P400 SE
FAST FACTS: 143,408 km | Partial online history | 20-50% tyre tread | 2 keys
Location: Fyshwick, Canberra
The Defender has evolved far beyond its farm-truck origins. This 2021 model runs a mild-hybrid 3.0-litre turbo inline-six making 550 Nm of torque - plenty to tow 3.5 tonnes, yet quick enough to hit triple digits in 6.1 seconds. It backs up the street cred with serious off-road gear, including Terrain Response, 291 mm of ground clearance, and a 900 mm wading depth.
