The Landcruiser is now a household name for its incredible durability and off-road capability and will carry that name forever.The 70 Series Landcruiser was introduced in 1984 taking over from the 40 Series  and is still produced today after many updates and facelifts.

The BJ74 was built as a mid wheelbase (MWB) 4x4 in the 80's as a modern take over from the famous and very collectable 40 Series. The BJ74 came with a fibre-reinforced plastic top (FRP) and were offered in a heavy duty or light duty specification.

This particular BJ74 is a NATO Spec heavy duty option that features factory front and rear cable operated diff locks, a 24V electrical system, PTO winch and a 13B-T Turbo Diesel engine with an automatic transmission, a rare and collectable specification.

The current owner has spared no expense maintaining and modifying this rare BJ74 including:

- 3.4-litre 13B-T engine completely rebuilt in August 2018. Balanced with ceramic coated pistons, custom steel head gasket, hi-flowed turbo, new injectors with reconditioned injector pump and more.
- Automatic transmission, reconditioned including the transfer case in 2010.
- Differentials reconditioned in 2019 with ratios changed from 4.11 to 4.56.
- Rear brakes and wheel bearings replaced in 2019
- 5x 16x8 Black Sunraisia wheels with 33" Toyo mud tyres
- 2" lift with Dobinson springs and shocks
- MCC steel rear bar with LED lights, spare wheel carrier and jerrycan holders
- Hayman Reese towbar
- Custom made chassis mounted bullbar, scrub bar and rock sliders with reinforcing out of 5mm steel plate with 3mm wall thickness.
- Fog lights & Lightbar
- Safari Snorkel
- Additonal gauges including trans temp, voltage etc
- Uniden UHF

Assorted spare parts are included in the sale including the Jerry cans, a replacement side sliding window for the FRP top (hard to find), hi-lift jack, Ryco catch can kit, XTM recovery kit, spare belts, hoses etc and more.
