The Mazda MX-6 launched its second generation (GE) in 1991, running through the ’90s as Mazda’s stylish coupé companion to the 626. Sold in Australia from 1991, the MX-6 shared its underpinnings with the US Ford Probe but wore sleeker, more restrained styling aimed at blending Japanese reliability with European-inspired grand touring character. Mazda’s answer to popular sporty coupés of the time — Honda Prelude, Toyota Celica, Nissan Silvia/200SX — but instead of chasing raw sportiness, the MX-6 leaned more toward refinement and long-distance comfort, carving out its niche as a smooth, V6-powered GT-style car. The MX-6 featured a Four-Wheel Steering (4WS) system, a technologically advanced option for its time that improved both low-speed manoeuvrability and high-speed stability. This hydraulic and electronic system allowed the rear wheels to steer slightly in the opposite direction of the front wheels for tighter turns and tighter turning radius in parking situations, and in the same direction at higher speeds for enhanced stability.

This original example of a 2.5L V6 MX-6 coupe has travelled 302,911ks since new with extensive full service history and original manuals, retains two key and remote fob and has current NSW registration until 12/01/2026.
