The second generation RN Hilux was introduced in 1972 and would be produced until July 1978. 1975 would see an update for the RN Hilux with additional standard equipment and a larger 18R 2.0-litre engine.

This Canberra registered since new example is a bit of an icon in the local Canberra community, known as George's ute as recognised driving around town for decades. The RN Hilux is a rare find in today's market, and with the addition of a factory tub back and the originality of this example I think its fair to say this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The Hilux runs and drives well and could still easily be daily driven as it had been for so long. Included in the sale is a blue tub with some assorted spare parts for the factory 2.0-litre 4-speed combination. As an inland car its whole life it has not been rust affected and features the original paint and graphics to this day. The Hilux also features chrome 14" wheels with near new Nankang radial tyres, ladder racks, towbar and LED spotlights.
