HSV was a joint venture between Tom Walkinshaw and Holden and was introduced in 1987 as the performance vehicle sector of Holden, after controversies around the HDT Director and Energy Polarizer from Peter Brock's HDT vehicle sector. The VT II Clubsport was the first generation of HSV that would use the now world famous alloy block LS1 V8 Producing 250 kw or 335 hp which was a significant increase of power over the iron block 5L of its predecessors. The VX Clubsport was launched in October 2000 and featured the same V8 engine as the Clubsport VT Series II, but with an increased power output up to 255kw. During the development of the VX Clubsport HSV responded to many customers' complaints regarding how Clubsports were difficult to distinguish from standard Commodores, introducing a new more pronounced unique bodykit and exclusive HSV interior features. 

This well presented and eye catching example of a Vespers Blue HSV VX Clubsport Series 2 is build number #136 and was purchased new from Commonwealth Motors in Canberra, the area where it has remained since. The Clubsport is impressively well presented for the 173,388ks travelled since new with partial logbook history with original books and both remote keys. This example has sat in a private collection for several years, indoors and dry to preserve the vehicle. Features include foglights, metallic paint, 18" HSV wheels, HSV bodykit and spoiler, HSV cloth interior, power windows and mirrors, multi function steering wheel, cruise control, HSV tool kit, limited slip differential and more.
