Nut and bolt restored Morris Mini to an 'S'. A sublime example

Perhaps the most recognisable and loved cars of all time the Mini is without a doubt an icon worldwide. The Mini was introduced in 1959 and would continue production in its original style across 7 generations until 2000 before the new shape was introduced by BMW in 2001. The classic Mini introduced a vehicle not seen by the automotive sector before and would have without a doubt had an influence on many cars over the last 60 years. BMC produced the Mini, a front engine and front wheel drive " Mini " car that utilised it's space so well that 80% of the space in the vehicle was left for passengers and luggage. The Cooper "S" was introduced as the performance variant of the Mini featuring a larger tuned engine, disc brakes, and twin fuel tanks and would go on to have enormous motorsport success both on and off the tarmac across the world. 1964 saw an introduction of a larger motor again for the Cooper S with a 57kw 1275cc engine now fitted as standard.
This 1964 Mini is a fastidious example and is a completed nut and bolt restoration and built to be an " S ". The ground up rebuild was completed in 2018 in which the Mini has only traveled 1,270 miles since and has taken out both ACT Mini Car Club (ACTMCC) Best Modified Mini in 2019 and ACTMCC Peoples' Choice in 2021. The gorgeous colour combination of Powder Blue with a white roof and complete black interior compliments the car perfectly. There is next to nothing to tell you this isn't an " S " as when the car was being built parts were carefully selected to create a true " S " tribute and drive. The 1275cc engine was the obvious choice and was fitting to the introductory year of this powerplant. This is backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox giving the driver a true experience and to help the car stop larger Cooper S disc brakes have been fitted. Twin fuel tanks are fitted in the rear, again a perfect and well executed tie in to the " S ". As seen by the receipts in the images no expense was spared to rebuild this car to be as good if not better than new.
There is nothing to fault on this incredible example, down to how simple the rear windows fold out, every intricate detail has been executed properly. This is an ideal opportunity for an award winning premium collectors example of a Mini Cooper, and without a cent needing to be spent. Not to be missed.
